Occupiers find that Flexible Working saves money during the recession |
"More and more companies are looking at flexible working to save money during the credit crunch" says David Atkinson, the CEO of Interactive Space. "We are demonstrating to Clients that Flexible Working Methods help them to attract and retain Staff. Giving people a choice of where they work, depending on what job they are doing, improves productivity and communications. It also reduces cost in use through improving desk ratios (2 people to 1 workstation is possible) and reducing storage."
"Our own Workplace Consultancy studies have shown that typically some 50% of desks are unoccupied during a working day. This is obviously a cost burden to any business and a waste of energy resources. The British Council for Offices recommends 10 sq metres per person, whereas 6 to 8 sq metres per person is possible for some organisations".
"A review of your use of space now is a low cost investment that will save you money in the future. Given the state of the economy, now is a good time to rationalise and consolidate office space."
