Association of Accounting Technicians, 154 Aldersgate Street, London EC1![]() The Project To relocate all Staff (previously located in 2 buildings and across 8 floors) to a single building on two floors of 15,000 sq ft in a new environment that facilitates agile working and good communications. Client Objectives To develop a cost effective and flexible infrastructure for the future that allows for changes in operational and financial management. To create a workspace that reflects AAT's brand values and reinforces its status and reputation in the accountancy profession. Key Facts The project was "designed by Committee" with every one of the Client's 152 Staff members being consulted during the process. The general office space is open plan with no barriers to communication. Low level storage was used to maintain a feeling of space and to ensure visibility of Staff to their colleagues. The few cellular spaces were constructed of glass to reinforce the openness and transparency of the organisation.
